THE LAST INTERVIEW OF THE YEAR WITH LAUREN STAHL, AN AMERICAN TEACHING SPANISH.

In this interview we had the honor to talk with Mrs. Stahl. As you know, that was the last interview of the year. Lauren is a young woman who is an experienced teacher, leader and customer service representative. She told us a lot of things of her life, about United States and the pandemic. We enjoyed so much this interview, so we hope that you enjoy it too.

Personal and Educational life

She graduated from high school in 2015. Throughout his period in high school, she
participated in leadership programs in which she planned functions for the community
and for the school.

Currently, she is studying for a degree in communications, and organizational and
interpersonal relations, at Michigan State University.

She also told us that she never traveled to Argentina, but that it is one of the places
that she would like to travel and know the most. She is fluent in the Spanish language
and is also taking a specialization course at the university.

Culture and experience in USA

Lauren Stahl was born in Michigan in a city called Royal Oak, studied in the Michigan
capital, Lansing and now lives in Auburn Hills, another Michigan City.

It is easy for her to make friends since she thinks that Spanish is a good way to make
friends because many people speak it and it is a good way to open her mind with
people of different cultures or nationalities. Before the pandemic, she used to go to
parties with her friends,  watch movies or go shopping but now with the
pandemic, she doesn’t visit them. She says that she celebrated Halloween by watching
a football game at her university with her family.

She really wants to visit Argentina since she has friends who are from Buenos Aires.
She recommends us if we want to visit the United States, a big city to go is New York,
but if we want to go to a smaller place Michigan is beautiful. However, her favorite city
is Las Vegas. She recommends visiting cider mills in her city where you can eat
apples, donuts and drink cider.

Pandemic in USA

We asked  her if Michigan was badly affected by the COVID-19, She answered yes.
She added that earlier in the year they were  affected so hard after that they had a
lockdown but all the cities were open and now they have a serious problem because the
cases are going up exponentially.

Another question that we asked her  was if the governor took enough preventive
measures to protect the citizens . She told us that the National government doesn´t
take any action but the State government takes the action of the lockdown so She thinks
that they really want to protect the people in Michigan. However, she thinks that
something isn’t working because they have a lockdown but the COVID is unstoppable.

Politics and elections

When we started asking about the polity section, we got some pretty interesting
answers like when we asked about the election, according to her they were quite
controversial, and she felt quite frightened on the subject of Covid 19, and that´s why
she decided to mail his vote.
She also told us that she hoped that Mr Trump would not win because she
thinks his government is chaotic, and that most people think he;s not interested in
them. Among the questions we asked  what were the differences
between Democrats and Republicans, to which she replied that in a normal choice the
differences are seen in their plans for the education system, with rich and poor people,
in which money is going to be invested, etc. And finally, to end our interview, we asked if she would
like to be in politics to which she replied that she would not imagine getting into politics.

The last interview

In this last interview we could know a lot of different things about the USA, about
Lauren, Michigan, the elections and the COVID.

We have enjoyed every interview and we are grateful to the teachers for giving us this
experience during all the year.

Thank you so much Lauren for you time!
