BUSINESS IN ARGENTINA

Since pandemic started, the borders were closed to prevent the propagation of the virus. But after more than one hundred days in lockdown, the government decided to open the borders to receive tourists from neighbouring countries and also announced that summer vacation season will normally begin in mid-December. One of the reasons they made this decision is because as many other countries, Argentina’s tourism industry has suffered a catastrophic fall. Regarding health protocols, tourists from Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay would not have to comply with a mandatory quarantine period upon arrival in Argentina. The minister added that temperature checks will also be carried out to ensure visitors do not have a fever, and that tourists would be asked to sign “an affidavit," indicating they have not been infected with Covid-19.
