THE VENUS AWAKENS

Since the first moment we started looking up to the sky, we wondered if life exists in other places of the universe. This idea has become more important in recent years, due to the discovery of a no-border universe. And it is even more incredible, that a neighbouring planet, Venus, might well host life.

Telescopes have detected unusually high concentrations of the molecule phosphine, a stinky, flammable chemical, associated with microbial activity. It is worth highlighting that it is a by-product of metabolic processes in living creatures. Phosphine is a relatively simple molecule containing one phosphorus atom and three hydrogen atoms.

So, is there life on Venus? This answer might be answered in some years, when the “Venus in-situ Explorer” arrives on Venus. This NASA´s project is supposed to be launched in 2022, as a part of the “New Frontiers” program.
