LOVE IS 12,272 KM AWAY
My name is Lushka Offen, I think it's time for me to tell my story. I hope readers can imagine, feel, live and watch this story pass before their eyes as much as I did every time I told it
The story begins in 1946, when I escaped from Germany to Argentina. I was able to escape from Nazism thanks to a troop chief. My mom, who unfortunately passed away, left me information about my aunt and my uncle from Argentina. Without hesitation, I decided to go find them. But there was a problem, a big problem, I could not travel to Argentina because the borders were closed, so I traveled to Bolivia and illegally entered Argentina where my documents were taken from me. In the months of being in Argentina, I met a boy who always came to my aunt's house, he is the son of a friend of my aunt. One day, he called me to invite me on a date, I accepted his invitation and we went out to the cinema and then we went to a coffee.
After a few months of dating with this gentleman, we decided to get married and move out together. After the most stressing and beautiful months, we had a daughter. During all the marriage we helped each other with all our problems, and one of the things that I am proudest of is the way that he helped me to get through the trauma Nazism caused me.
That's my story, with a happy ending and a family I am always going to remember with a smile.
