FIRE IN BARILOCHE

Bariloche woke up today covered with smoke and the smell of different gases due to a fire in the Municipal Urban Waste Center (CRUM) that started yesterday at noon and that persisted during the night until it was suffocated by the Fire Prevention and Fighting Service Forest (Splif).

The incident broke out at noon yesterday and initially it was the local workers themselves who tried to extinguish the flames, according to the Río Negro newspaper. After 7:00 p.m., the fire began to increase, so the Splif's help was requested. After intense work during the night, the flames were contained but the smoke took the sky of Bariloche.

According to the first investigations, the focus would have originated in the household waste sector, but grew when it came into contact with forest waste.

  This week we had the opportunity to interview Lauren Stahl, a native American born in Michigan, who has lived there all her life. She gave us some insight about what she does for a living and her current studies. Apart from that, this was a particular occasion because it was the last interview of this different yet special year. Lauren has lived in Michigan all her life and has never travelled abroad. For this reason, she doesn't know any differences within cultures.   After a year of waiting and delays, the most famous racing competition finally  took place last weekend. Although, without a public and with a reduced number of teams due to the pandemic. The so far invictus company Toyota has won the 88th competition of Le Mans, and it is the third time in a row. It was also a third consecutive win for driver Sebastien Buemi and Kazuki Nakajima driving. In second place arrived the Rebellion car. Sadly, this was the last year that Rebellion participated in the WEC (World Endurance Competition), and Toyota was left as the only champion in the WEC series.
