2020, THE FRONT PLAYER ARE THE APPS

The year 2020 took a very big turn regarding technology, because of what is happening worldwide. Many app makers began to improve their apps and to create new ones to improve the communication and work of people who work at home. 


Some apps that started to be used more this year are:

  • Toppr: is an online learning app personalized for CBSE students. They want to make online study experience easy for students.

  • Udemy:  is an online learning platform with multiple video courses taught by expert instructors. These courses could be from programming languages to personal development classes like design, drawing, writing and yoga.

  • Geogebra: is an online app that can be really useful for mathematical graphics.

  • WordReference: it is a dictionary and it gives a little definition of the word and also different examples with it.  

  • Duolingo: it’s an app where you can learn any language you’d like via online and for free.

  • Lynda: It’s similar to Udemy. , Lynda.com boasts a huge variety of courses in a whole slew of different subject areas, such as video production or software development.

  On the morning of October 27 we were given the opportunity to interview Mr. Yamamoto, a young man who used to attend our school and is currently living in Tokyo, Japan.   This week we had the opportunity to interview Lauren Stahl, a native American born in Michigan, who has lived there all her life. She gave us some insight about what she does for a living and her current studies. Apart from that, this was a particular occasion because it was the last interview of this different yet special year. Lauren has lived in Michigan all her life and has never travelled abroad. For this reason, she doesn't know any differences within cultures. She told us that she would like to visit Argentina and also commented that she has friends in the United States who had lived in Buenos Aires.  Later on, we asked about her hobbies and social activities, but she explained that because of the pandemic she prefers to stay safe inside home.   After a year of waiting and delays, the most famous racing competition finally  took place last weekend. Although, without a public and with a reduced number of teams due to the pandemic. The so far invictus company Toyota has won the 88th competition of Le Mans, and it is the third time in a row. It was also a third consecutive win for driver Sebastien Buemi and Kazuki Nakajima driving. In second place arrived the Rebellion car. Sadly, this was the last year that Rebellion participated in the WEC (World Endurance Competition), and Toyota was left as the only champion in the WEC series.
