SUPER CLAMP ON THE DOLLAR

The Central Bank (BCRA) decided this Tuesday to further restrict the exchange rate. It launched a battery of measures with which it is hoped to relieve pressure on its deteriorating reserves and with which it aims to reduce the exchange rate gap.

The entity chaired by Miguel Angel Pesce resolved that the expenses made abroad with a card would occupy part of the monthly quota of 200 USD, established a 35% withholding for the purchase of savings dollars or expenses with a card abroad, extended to 15 days the parking for the purchase of securities in local currency and decided to limit market access to companies that must face debts of more than 1 million USD per month.
