Society, at its breakpoint?

2020 is a strange year, due to the pandemic we have been put to some horrible and extreme situations, not only the fact of being isolated in our houses, but a lot more serious things.

For many Latin American students, 2020 could be a year filled with extraordinary experiences, but everything was paused for an unlimited period. Numbers of domestic violence victims have grown exponentially (more than 50 women were killed over the first two months of the pandemic), as well as disappearances like Facundo Astudillo Castro or murders, which lead to protests like the Black Lives Matter movements in the USA, for example. On the other hand, ONG and slum priest, like Padre Toto, have become popular for organizing community canteens for poor people alongside building networks of solidarity along with the community, to name some activities they perform. To summarize, basically our society is going through some hard moments and some people are living our lives in a really strange and horrible way. But persons such as Padre Toto are making the best they can to make this better for whoever they can help.
