NEW METHODS TO STUDY FROM HOME

Talking about online learning , we must talk about Zoom which is the app we have been using since the quarantine started and it allows us to continue our studies. it’s a videocall app where people or in our case students connect to it for our daily online class routine. We also can mention YouTube as it is a  website which has a lot of videos about school subjects information and also lets us reinforce a text or homework. Finally, I am going to talk about Duolingo, this is also an online learning app that permits us learning others languages like English, Spanish or French, this app let you learn a language by making you watch videos, listening audios and make simple and complex sentences. To sum up, all these apps and more allow us to keep learning from home.

  On the morning of October 27 we were given the opportunity to interview Mr. Yamamoto, a young man who used to attend our school and is currently living in Tokyo, Japan. Nicolas had plenty of experiences and culture shocks to share with us, and from which we could all learn.   This week we had the opportunity to interview Lauren Stahl, a native American born in Michigan, who has lived there all her life. She gave us some insight about what she does for a living and her current studies. Apart from that, this was a particular occasion because it was the last interview of this different yet special year. Lauren has lived in Michigan all her life and has never travelled abroad. For this reason, she doesn't know any differences within cultures. She told us that she would like to visit Argentina and also commented that she has friends in the United States who had lived in Buenos Aires.  Later on, we asked about her hobbies and social activities, but she explained that because of the pandemic she prefers to stay safe inside home.   After a year of waiting and delays, the most famous racing competition finally  took place last weekend. Although, without a public and with a reduced number of teams due to the pandemic. The so far invictus company Toyota has won the 88th competition of Le Mans, and it is the third time in a row. It was also a third consecutive win for driver Sebastien Buemi and Kazuki Nakajima driving. In second place arrived the Rebellion car. Sadly, this was the last year that Rebellion participated in the WEC (World Endurance Competition), and Toyota was left as the only champion in the WEC series.
