THE ANTIQUE DOLL

During Lucy’s birthday morning, her mother told her there was a gift waiting for her in the mail. She was very excited about it, but when she unwrapped it, a disgusting scary doll appeared. 

Lucy tried to throw the doll away, but her mother told her that someone had sent it with love, and that she better appreciate it, forcing her to keep the doll. But Lucy hid it under the stairs.

A few nights later, she started hearing strange noises, like light fast footsteps and a whisper voice saying ‘’Lucy, I’m on the first step’’. She tried to explain her mother what was happening, but she didn’t care that much. As the nights went by, the steps the whispering voice said were increasing, until the voice said ‘’Lucy, I’m on the top step’’. 

The next morning, Lucy’s parents found her body on the stairs. They burned the body with the antique doll, and her mother said ‘’she loved that doll, now they can be together forever’’.

To begin with, even though governments´ aid has benefited the lower class, the vast majority of the economically active population struggles to make ends meet and, therefore, starts to close down their businesses while CABA begins to reopen their economy.   On the morning of October 27 we were given the opportunity to interview Mr. Yamamoto, a young man who used to attend our school and is currently living in Tokyo, Japan. Nicolas had plenty of experiences and culture shocks to share with us, and from which we could all learn.   This week we had the opportunity to interview Lauren Stahl, a native American born in Michigan, who has lived there all her life. She gave us some insight about what she does for a living and her current studies. Apart from that, this was a particular occasion because it was the last interview of this different yet special year. Lauren has lived in Michigan all her life and has never travelled abroad. For this reason, she doesn't know any differences within cultures. She told us that she would like to visit Argentina and also commented that she has friends in the United States who had lived in Buenos Aires.  Later on, we asked about her hobbies and social activities, but she explained that because of the pandemic she prefers to stay safe inside home.   After a year of waiting and delays, the most famous racing competition finally  took place last weekend. Although, without a public and with a reduced number of teams due to the pandemic. The so far invictus company Toyota has won the 88th competition of Le Mans, and it is the third time in a row. It was also a third consecutive win for driver Sebastien Buemi and Kazuki Nakajima driving. In second place arrived the Rebellion car. Sadly, this was the last year that Rebellion participated in the WEC (World Endurance Competition), and Toyota was left as the only champion in the WEC series. Apart from this, the car in the third position was driven by José María López, who was born in Córdoba, which almost arrived in the first position, but due to some motor problems, it was overtaken.
