WHO: CORONAVIRUS CAN BE AIRBORNE
| WHO Director-General, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. |
Until now, it was proven that the main way of transmission of covid-19 was through drops of saliva produced by speaking, coughing, or sneezing and that the virus can remain on a surface for hours or even days but many scientists asked the WHO authorities to communicate that the coronavirus can also be spread through the air so that the necessary measures can be taken.
This is not the only rectification made by the WHO; the first was on the use of masks, which later reported that they should be used by everyone and not only by health workers and asymptomatic people.
After the actions of the WHO, the United States decided to leave the organization and the Trump Administration also accused the WHO through the media of denying the negligent action of the Asian country when the first outbreaks broke out.
