COVID-19 BIO-LOGGING INITIATIVE

Humans staying inside due to Covid-19 seems to have had a great impact in the behaviour of animals all around the globe. Because of this, researchers from all countries have united to create an ambitious project called “COVID-19 Bio-Logging Initiative”. Its objective is to investigate the movement of animals, their behaviour and levels of stress before, during and after the lockdown. To collect the information they will use small electronic devises on animals, as well as a satellite system biologists from around the world already used.
The purpose of this initiative is to understand the impact that human activity has on wildlife. This is important in order to preserve wildlife and to prevent future problems of propagation of deceases.
