THE TELEWORK REGULATION PROJECT HAS RECEIVED PRELIMINARY APPROVAL

The objective is to guarantee labor rights, in addition to proposing the possibility of reversing this modality and returning to the face-to-face system. The initiative obtained 214 affirmative votes, one negative and 29 abstentions. In the event that it is approved in the Senate, this initiative would be launched 90 days after the end of the quarantine and this is what the opposition questions.
The project was rejected from the left arguing that the houses of many workers were not intended as offices and that the employers may not experience connectivity, the payment of tools or services. Some of the central aspects of the project are: Teleworkers will have the same rights -wages, licenses and vacations- as those who do it in person. The working day for the telework modality must be agreed in writing.

Argentina´s economy threatens to crumble down while President Fernandez tries to come to an agreement with creditors

To begin with, even though governments´ aid has benefited the lower class, the vast majority of the economically active population struggles to make ends meet and, therefore, starts to close down their businesses while CABA begins to reopen their economy. Secondly, the administration now embarks on a race against time to: resolve Argentina´s macro-economic problems and imbalance (concerning the fiscal situation and printing money), make our economy sustainable again (35,000 of Argentinian companies are considering to close their business) and revert the social consequences left behind by the pandemic and the previous mandate.   This week we had the opportunity to interview Lauren Stahl, a native American born in Michigan, who has lived there all her life. She gave us some insight about what she does for a living and her current studies. Apart from that, this was a particular occasion because it was the last interview of this different yet special year. Lauren has lived in Michigan all her life and has never travelled abroad. For this reason, she doesn't know any differences within cultures.   After a year of waiting and delays, the most famous racing competition finally  took place last weekend. Although, without a public and with a reduced number of teams due to the pandemic. The so far invictus company Toyota has won the 88th competition of Le Mans, and it is the third time in a row. It was also a third consecutive win for driver Sebastien Buemi and Kazuki Nakajima driving. In second place arrived the Rebellion car. Sadly, this was the last year that Rebellion participated in the WEC (World Endurance Competition), and Toyota was left as the only champion in the WEC series.
