ICELAND, LAND OF FIRE AND ICE

Iceland is an island located in the North Atlantic Ocean, between North America and Europe. It is a country where fire and ice co-exist and although it is populated by Norse and Celtic population, it is also really homogeneous and there are no ethnic distinctions.

Its climate is maritime subarctic and although winters are fairly dark, often the aurora borealis is visible, especially in fall and early winter.

Iceland has many beautiful and exotic places to visit, such as its well-known black sand beaches.

Black sand is common in areas with high volcanic activity. For example, you can visit Reynisfjar, Solheimasandur, Dyrholaey or Stokksnes Beach.
