Voters elect the delegates who in turn must choose the new president and vice president through the Electoral College. The limit established by the Twenty-second Constitutional Amendment allows the current president, Donald Trump, to be reelected for a second term of government. Presidential primary elections and electoral assemblies are likely to be held during the first six months of 2020. This electoral process is also an indirect election, where voters cast their votes for a list of delegates for a political party nomination convention, who then elect their party's presidential nominee. In addition, 34 senators and the entire House of Representatives are elected.
The requirements for being president in the United States of América are: Being a citizen by birth, be at least 35 years old and being resident of USA for 14 years.
Now, talking about the current president of United States of America, Donald Trump, He has the disapproval of about 57% of the society. Some political analysts say that it is a problem because Biden, the opponent, said “Write down my words, I think he is going to try to delay the elections in some way, he is going to create some explanation of why they cannot be carried out”. But it isn’t the principal problem, what could threaten Biden's potential presidency - and the country's ability to overcome what will be one of the most unpleasant elections in modern history is if Trump simply refuses to admit that he lost and never acknowledges that Biden is president with all those of the law.
